KRRC 11th Bn

Battalion moved into a fresh bivouac in some orchards in the village of SAILLY-AU-BOIS (J18.a.5.5) by arrangement with the 56th Division in whose area the bivouac was situated.

2nd Bn Black Watch Bereilly Bgde Meerut Div Indian Corps

1st Aug 1915

Bn holding sub section of defence in square 18-D & 24-A & B Chapigny Faquissart. Situation quiet

Casualties 1 killed # 1678 L/cpl W Morgan. 1 wounded.

Lieut's F L S Sotheby & G Curdie reported their arrival on posting to Bn.

2nd Aug

Situation quiet. 1 killed # 8051 F Young & 3 wounded. Coys carried out reliefs

# 2 & 4 Frontline, 3 support & 4 reserve.

Lieut M M Thorburn rejoined from hospital.
