Just been handed this book on long time loan. This book is to my great uncle William Noel Shelvey , who worked for the railway.

Scanned a page so you can see what info is in it. I can not scan all of the book as it is falling a part, But I can do look ups etc.

Could you please look up John Edmund Sutton, Gnr, DoW on 12 October 1918? He was a railway man according to his (badly) burnt records in WO363. He lived in Narborough when he attested in 1915. However, there is no clue about the Company he was employed by.

If it is not too much of an imposition can you scan the book to see if any of the men mentioned were employed by the LNW Railway at Narborough, which had a goods yard as well as a station.

Thanks very much.

Dave

Pity there is no more info, coming from Warrington i am trying to trace all who gave their lives but with no details on CWGC of family its difficult to see which one he is, but i now have one more to look for, also there is a name on the page you scanned from Warrington so will look him up if not already got him.

Once again thanks.

Keith,

When you are looking through this book and come across any police I would be grateful as a friend of mine is trying to locate them.

He has quite a few but maybe not all, I appreciate that it is now old and that is why i am not going to ask you to leaf through it, just when you do.

Thanks mandy
