Hi the 1901 Census has him as 19 and the address as Barracks Ayr,(Royal Scots Fusiliers)

1891 Census They are now in Perth.

Father--Philip

Mother- Mary

Brothers--Mathew age 15,Philip age 12

Sister-----Mary age 13

& Gran.Margaret

looks as if his dad was a prison Warder in Perth.

1901 Census,his dad is back in Dundee at 28 Bernard St.

He must have been a "regular" is it possible to find out when he enlisted.
