Lt Col Arthur Gordon Cade Middlesex Regt.

The first Battalion War Dairy I read was written by Capt A G Cade Acting Adj of the 2nd Middlesex 1st July 1916. I don't know what I was expecting but I was struck by how nicely he wrote in describing the disaster that befell the Battalion that morning.

Later, I figured out his name was Cade not Cady. He died in 1918 as a Lt Col.
