My soldier was transferred from the HLI (No. 17745) to the Scottish Rifles (No. 39323). Can a date of transfer from HLI to SR be determined from his numbers? The Inspector Posted 25 July , 2009 Share Posted 25 July , 2009 Hi Dave Have you checked on the Long, Long Trail, Infantry regiments? the 14th Service Bn of the HLI absorbed the 13th Bn the Cameronians(Scottish Rifles) on 2.3.1916.
