deano Posted 13 July , 2009 Share Posted 13 July , 2009 Hi, found this map ref. in some Australian service records for a Sheffield born chap who was killed. This ref. is the spot where his body was left untill he could be buried. I have had a go of the McMasters site but failed miserably!! Could some knowledgable soul please point me where exactly this map ref. is ? regards Dean.
tootrock Posted 13 July , 2009 Share Posted 13 July , 2009 Hi, I think your man was buried just to the North of the village of Hangard. On the McMasters site select the rectangle numbered 62c, and then select the map titled Corbie. U.29 is close to the bottom edge. a.8.9 is close to the small rectangular wood to the north of the village. Regards, Martin
