Mark Hone Posted 14 April , 2004 Share Posted 14 April , 2004 As a follow up to Chris's comment on the Zonnebeke Museum thread (which seems to be closed) does anyone know how much are the more individual/realistic dummies produced by companies such as 'Time Machine' which can be seen at places like The National Army Museum? It's a pity the Zonnebeke Museum couldn't have stretched to those. I was at the Bushy Run Battlefield Centre in deepest Pennsylvania USA a few years ago and came across a Time Machine mannequin of a Highland officer which was clearly modelled on the late, flamboyant Conservative MP Sir Nicholas Fairbairn. Of course the Yanks hadn't a clue who it was, but the likeness was remarkable.
bkristof Posted 15 April , 2004 Share Posted 15 April , 2004 Hi, we informaed for real looking "dummies" they cost about 1000£ each !!!! But then they have madame tusaut (is that correct?) quality looks. In Belgium there is a dummy factory who makes dummies in requested positions for about 250£. And they have a nice look. I agree, but the collection already costs a fortune... i understand the budget for the dummies is limited. But there are already some very nice ones in it (see first picture, Royal highlander + Frog).
