Kevin Tobin Posted 7 July , 2009 Share Posted 7 July , 2009 Having recently visited Stowe School I was wondering if anyone has detils of their Roll of Honour? I am hoping to return to try and find it, but I would have thought that a Public School like this would have had a number of ex-pupil who fought in the Great War and probably a book written about it? I have tried google and ancestry with no result? Details of the ex-pupil killed or who fought in the Great War would be appreciated or the title of any publication that may help. Thanks
Esskay Posted 7 July , 2009 Share Posted 7 July , 2009 A quick search seems to suggest that Stowe wasn't founded till 1923 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stowe_School - so that seems to explain why a Great War roll of honour can't be found Cheers Sue
