One of 'my' chaps!!

Did you notice the others? Frank Gration was recently added having lain in an unmarked grave since his death in 1918 - he's a few plots to the left of Broadhead. There's also George Shooter who had a family stone until relatively recently when a CWGC was added to the foot of the grave plot.

For the full village involvement see here: http://www.derbyshirelads.uwclub.net/Tibsh...n_great_war.htm and http://www.derbyshirelads.uwclub.net/Count...ls/tibshelf.htm and links to pics.

Oddly enough the others aren't Foresters!

Somwhere I have a complete listing of all names on graves in Tibshelf. Let me know who you are looking for and I'll take a look on it.

There's a small number of headstones with an 18th century date, but they tend to be propped against walls rather than in situ, and none that I know of with an earlier date. But I'll take a look just in case. If you hear nothing assume that the search was negative.
