salientpoints Posted 14 April , 2004 Share Posted 14 April , 2004 Nice pics Kristof. Any chance you could resize and optimize them for the internet? I think there is a thread on this forum somewhere on image sizes. I am on broadband but other folk on dial up will not be so lucky! salientpoints Posted 15 April , 2004 Share Posted 15 April , 2004 Kristof, there are many posts on the forum about image sizes etc you can search for. However, I believe this one is the most recent: http://1914-1918.org/forum/index.php?showt...12604&hl=images Regards, Ryan
bkristof Posted 15 April , 2004 Author Share Posted 15 April , 2004 all all smaller than 200 kb
salientpoints Posted 15 April , 2004 Share Posted 15 April , 2004 Kristof, you have missed the point about physical image size. As the other post said as an ideal for everyone viewing these pages, the limit is 200Kb and preferably not more than 600 pixels wide. This way the image fits in the browser window nicely for everyone to see and as a consequence will be a lot smaller than even your images are now due to proportionate resampling of the image. It doesnt do your own images justice when you cannot see them as you have to scroll across the page, you never see the whole thing in one go Hope this makes sense.
