14 Squadron 1916

[Vulcan works]

Can anyone enlighten me - I have a very indistinct aircraft type which may be 'De Hav.' and one recorded serial number '4608' dotted in amongst the BE2c's. Date is September 1916, location Ismailia. Any ideas anyone?

4608 was an Airco de Havilland DH 1, built by Savages Ltd of Kings Lynn, a type used by No 14 Sqn in Egypt.

I'd say that it is your aeroplane.
