Guest redrum Posted 11 April , 2004 Share Posted 11 April , 2004 I read some years ago in a book by a man who recalled when he was a boy during WW1 watching German pows in patched field grey excercising on the sands at Moreton in Wirral, Cheshire. Does anyone know where their camp was sited?
Guest redrum Posted 29 May , 2004 Share Posted 29 May , 2004 I can reply to my own question now that I discovered some info. in a book on old Wirral. German prisoners of war were housed in Leasowe Castle during 1917-18.
