 I would be extremely grateful to learn of the circumstances of the Fatal Air Crash, that caused the death of Pilot 2nd Lt,Eustace Betram Low [one of three sons of the Reverend & Mrs Low,of Folkestone Kent],in a Fighter on 24th March 1917,near Bapaume, where he is interred.I have his biogaphical, service;qualification details & CWGC details, and the name of his Observer, also killed, but unfortunately I am unable to get to Hendon to check the 'Crash Cards'?,which I believe give details of such accidents?i would be gateful of any advice/assistance,Thank you;Roger.

The information in 'Airmen Died' is that 2Lt E B Low (aged 18) was flying BE2c 4428 of No 4 Sqn RFC, with 2Lt A F Gibson as his observer, when he was killed while flying, ie in an accident, on 24 March 1917.

I hope this helps.

Lt Low was killed with 2/Lt Albert Fisher Gibson in B.E.2c serial no.4428.

I am sure Dolphin or another of our aerial experts will jump in with more detail.
