Pte Frank BARNES 32954 2nd Bn, Gloucestershire Regiment Died 26.10.19 Age 18 Commemoration: Brookwood (United Kingdom 1914-1918) Memorial, Surrey, UK Pte Ernest BASSETT 200892 Royal Army Medical Corps Died 13.11.19 Age 21 Commemoration: Karachi 1914-1918 War Memorial, Pakistan Cpl Thomas BLACK 42298 9th Bn, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) Died 25.04.18 Age 27 Commemoration: Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium Rear Admiral Henry Montagu DOUGHTY CB CMG Royal Navy Died 01.05.21 Age 50 Buried: Haslar Royal Naval Cemetery, Hants, UK Cpl David John SAMUELS 290469 7th Bn, Welsh Regiment Died 17.07.18 Age 24 Commemoration: Brookwood (United Kingdom 1914-1918) Memorial, Surrey, UK NOT FORGOTTEN The following are In From the Cold Project cases. - Pte Barnes died of asphyxia aboard ship in the Red Sea en route to India. (Volunteer: Jimmy James) - Pte Bassett died of inflammation of the brain. (Volunteer: Geoff Sullivan) - Cpl Black was killed in action. (Volunteer: John Hartley) - Cpl Samuels died of pneumonia and toxaemia in West Hartlepool.
