John_Hartley Posted 29 May , 2009 Share Posted 29 May , 2009 For the benefit of the Project's friends out there amongst the GWF membership, I thought you'd like to know that we have just passed the halfway point in checking the GRO overseas deaths list. It's a great achievement on the part of the volunteers who have also checked all of Officers Died in the Great War, Airmen Died and the home deaths of Soldiers Died. Needless to say, that still means there are a quarter of a million names still to crosscheck with CWGC. If you'd like to help, we'd welcome your assistance - just drop me a PM or email.
