But here is what I have: Lt Vernon James Austin Born at Birmingham on 21 Nov 1893, the son of Herbert Austin, Esq. of Lickey Grange, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. Educated at St. Cuthbert's, Malvern; King's School, Canterbury from 1907 to July 1909; and in Leipzig After school he went into business Commissioned as a 2nd Lieut. RGA SR in January, 1912 Served with 22nd Bty, 34th Bde, RFA at the Marne, the Aisne and Ypres. KIA near LaBassee on 26 Jan 15 Gazetted as Lieutenant effective 6 Jan 15 after his death.
