Holger Kotthaus Posted 1 May , 2009 Share Posted 1 May , 2009 Hallo, I know it’s a forgotten place in a forgotten war, but I am very interested about this place and the actions in the South-West of GEA between the column of Colonel Murray BSAP and the 29. F.K. company of the Schutztruppe. My sources about this action, specially by NAMEMA are: Tip and Run; Edward Paice; “The Ubiquitous Rhodesians” Warriors at forgotten fronts ; Wolfgang Foerster 1931; “Diary of Lt. Karl Orth 29.F.K.” Corporal Haussmann goes to war ; Colin G. C. Martin 2000. Operations in German East Africa ; WW 1914-1918; Ludwig Boell 1951. NRJ ; Volume II No.4 1954; Captain R. Langham “Attack on Namema” some lines in the DOAZ (GEA-Newspaper)and DKB (German-Colonial-Paper) Has anybody any info, where I can find more details what happened in these 9 days Mai-June 1916. Perhaps information in books, archives, war diaries, photos, postcards and letters. It would be a great help . (I have been there 2003, but I want to make a better photo report in GWF in September this year) Cheers Holger
