Most of January 1917 he was testing V. Control and Engine Testing around Rochford Aerodrome with a little bit of formation flying at Goldhanger.

On the 29th January they were after hun again at 6000feet in A6321.

Fascinating Ian. Goldhanger will feature in my forthcoming book and Ivor (Stow Curator) is your man re. Stow. The key Goldhanger chaps I have been studying are - Sowrey; Hay; Dennis; Watkins; Kynnock; Crowley and Armstrong.

This is an old thread so I hope it gets picked up!  In this extract from the first post by the OP it mentions that for most of January Capt Pearson “was testing V Control and engine testing around Rochford Aerodrome”. Does anyone know what V Control Testing was please?
