CWGC added the following 'new' WW1 casualty to its Debt of Honour database today – Wednesday 18th March.

Cpl Jack Northmore WILLIAMS

Canadian Field Artillery

Died 08.08.20

Buried: Burlington (Greenwood) Cemetery, Ontario, Canada

Raising a glass to the memory of Jack tonight.

A quick look at Jack's attestation papers give us the following information.

He was born in Burlington, Ontario on the 29th July 1892. At the time he volunteered on the 29th March 1915 he was listed as being Single, a Student & C of E faith wise.

Physically he was five feet seven inches tall of dark complexion & grey/brown eyes. He also had a scar on his chest which had resulted from an operation when he had plural pneumonia.
