Terry Denham Posted 28 March , 2004 Share Posted 28 March , 2004 HMS Victory (or HMS Victory I) was Portsmouth - 'HMS Victory' can be followed by other Roman numerals (II - XI) indicating other locations at times. All details of RN shore establishments can be found in the excellent small book - 'Shore Establishments of the Royal Navy' by Lt-Cmdr B.Warlow (Maritime Books). Well worth the cost.
