Remembered Today:

1st Bn Scots Guards 1917

Thanks to assistance of a member on another thread, I have discovered that my target David Baxter, was wounded in action on 20th June 1917 while serving with 1st Battalion Scots Guards.

Just wondered if anyone might have information about the action via any war diaries of the unit? Or indeed any information where the war diary might be accessed?

Old Bill,

The War Diary for the 20th says:-

"Usual shelling of batteries. Dull - Showery."
