I came across an interesting anomaly in Grevillers British Cemetery this afternoon.

Name: FLEMING

Initials: M B

Nationality: United Kingdom

Rank: Serjeant

Regiment/Service: British West Indies Regiment

Date of Death: 22/03/1918

Service No: 3843

Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead

Grave/Memorial Reference: XI. A. 19.

Cemetery: GREVILLERS BRITISH CEMETERY

The anomaly is that he is buried under a stone with a BRCS& OSt John badge. With unit being Red Cross.

Has anyone else picked this up and have an explanattion. I have contacted CWGC.

Mick
