SFayers Posted 17 February , 2009 Share Posted 17 February , 2009 In memory of my nan's cousin Douglas Arthur Albert Phillips, who served as Private CH/18660 in 1st Royal Marine Light Infantry. Douglas was killed in action on 17th February 1917 during the Battle of Miraumont. He was formerly buried in what was River Trench Cemetery, and now rests in Queen's Cemetery, Bucquoy, France. per ardua per mare per terram Posted 19 February , 2009 Share Posted 19 February , 2009 May he Rest in Peace. You probably know already that his service register should be in ADM 159/130; with more probably available from the Fleet Air Arm Museum, if you can get there. His medals will be on microfilm in ADM 171/170.
