members, I have been trying to trace my grandfathers movements with the R.S.F. there are no service records that survived so the only facts are that he died- of -wounds 2/Sept 1918 while serving with the 1/5 Batt r.s.f buried BAC-DU SUD FRANCE. It has been suggested to me that his service number could help "43426" to unfold some information on his previous movements as from his enlistment in nottingham 1914 but send for in 1915 so not entitled to 1914-15 star. I have been on the trail for a long time but I keep trying but sadly I can go no further so this is a desperate one last chance to complete my quest so any help from members would help. Chris
