Definitely, and what about a close up on the shoulder title; if LgrenadeF with Salford beneath it, then could be Salford Pals

I was helping a friend. The details are sketchy, but any help would be good !!

Steve

This could be a challenge.

This photograph of a relation who we know nothing about.

His name has a slight miss spelling (Pheasy) not Pheasey.

Have no information as to why the name changed .

Problems with spelling in the 1900's was common.

Could you find a service card to start the ball rolling as before. What do you think his cap badge tells us.

A possible? 19th Lancashire Fusiliers were 3rd Salford Pals if I remember correctly.

He happens to have a split MIC, the second card having the 'other' spelling.

Regards

Steve

Looking again at the pic - it doesn't look like the soldier has an additional Salford title there, just LgrenadeF...

Cheers
