On 24 January 1919 the Corporation of Guildford held a ‘Welcome Home’ party for 270 repatriated POWs from the Surrey area, which had served with the local regiment, The Queen’s.

To commemorate both this event and the work of the Regimental POW Relief Fund, there will a talk at The Surrey History Centre on Saturday 24 January 2009 starting at 2pm. Further details can be found at the following link http://www.surreycc.gov.uk/sccwebsite/sccw...ts?opendocument to their website.
