Got a couple of Archibald Hurd's books here The merchant navy Vol 1 (1921) The merchant navy Vol 2 (1921) also found this "official history" Seaborne trade by CE Fayle Vol 1 (1920) also another of Hurd's, about Cunards: A merchant fleet at war (1920)
simonharley Posted 8 January , 2009 Share Posted 8 January , 2009 Unfortunately the rest of of Hurd's official history of the Merchant Navy hasn't been uploaded, and neither has Fayle's (I would dearly like to have Volume III of Seaborne Trade.) We can only hope Google Books will get round to making it free at some point, since Microsoft have stopped scanning books now. Simon
