WEST LOTHIAN WOMEN AT WAR

I am currently trying to make a list of women from West Lothian {then known as Linlithgowshire} who were members of the Women's Services i.e. W.A.A.C./Q.M.A.A.C., W.R.N.S., W.R.A.F., and the various nursing services. I have some names for the W.A.A.C., from the service records listed online at T.N.A. The women's place of birth is given in the indexes for these records. I am stuck for the other services. Is there a list [or number of lists} showing women from each service, giving place of birth? All help would be appreciated, even just individual names of women who served.

Regards,

Alf McM

My database relates to female casualties only. I have a number of East- and Mid-Lothian women but only one West-Lothian. She was Elizabeth Simpson, TFNS who is buried in Uphall Cemetery. I don't know if Geoff's Search Engine will produce any more.

Thanks Malcolm, Jim,

I am not particularly looking for casualties, but any woman who was born in West Lothian and served during the Great War. My best bet now will probably be searching Geoff's Search Engine and the local newspapers of the time.
