Kath Posted 9 December , 2008 Share Posted 9 December , 2008 Just had an email from Mary Evans Picture Library: "Military Might We have extremely exciting news this month about a prestigious military history collection which is now represented exclusively by the Mary Evans Picture Library. The Robert Hunt Library was founded by Bobby Hunt, a noted artist, art teacher and cartoonist who became a leading picture researcher on modern military topics during the 1960s and beyond. Over the years, Hunt built up a sizeable library of images on all aspects of 20th century warfare, and today the collection encompasses comprehensive material on World War One .......... In the first phase of representation, we are scanning, captioning and uploading to our website the entire collection of World War One photographs owned by the Robert Hunt Library, with several hundred images currently online and more being added daily. These include iconic and often moving pictures of scenes on the Western Front, as well as Home Front subjects, and photographs taken in Mesopotamia, Serbia and other lesser known areas................" http://www.maryevans.com/lb.php?ref=1983 Kath.
