Chap I'm researching has on his CWGC info sheet before his family details the initials ARCO.

Haven't come across this before. Can anyone tell me what the letters stand for.?

Bob.

Terry,

That's very interesting, many thanks for the help.

As I said above I have not come across this type of entry before on CWGC, is it common?

Bob.

A small percentage of the N-o-K sometimes added info about the casualty's scholastic achievements, membership of professional bodies or societies or sporting achievements. N-o-K were obviously proud of their loved ones' non-military achievements and wanted everyone to be aware of them. This tended to occur more often with officers.

It is not unusual to see 'BSc', 'FRCS' or 'FRS' or similar listed under the 'Additional Info' section. However, amongst 1.7 million names, 'common' is not the word I would use.
