Does anyone know if there was an Australian troop carrier called Ceramic.

If so does anyone have any information about her and what she was used for prior to the war. (A picture would be fantastic)

Ceramic was a troopship for the Australians. If you ask this question on the ANZAC research board, I'm sure you'll get anything you need about the ship there. Hit the link below:-

White Star liner built by Harland & Wolfe, Belfast. Two near escapes on 9.6.17 and 21.7.17. Torpedoes missed.

The last gives much plus pic, on its sinking in 1942 by Uboat with loss of all but one.
