James Blonde Posted 4 November , 2008 Share Posted 4 November , 2008 Hallo Members, while going through some old paperwork, I came across a handwritten notation in connection to a picture that was up for auction a few years ago on Ebay (I am searching through my picture files to see if I can locate a copy of the actual picture.) I am posting it here as it may be of use to some members. The picture was of a posed indoor photo of group of men in British Army uniform written to the rear are the words: British Army Constantinople 1919. SARRY, OWEN, HOWELL, HILL, LINDEN, BELL (Lt.) JEFFERIES. Local Purchase Office. British Army of the Black Sea, Constantinople October 10. GHQ Dt of S.T. (Director of Supplies & Transport.) Lieutenant A. P. Bell. Torbey 16 Y.R. Connaught Stranger
