avfc87 Posted 28 October , 2008 Share Posted 28 October , 2008 Not sure if anyone can offer any advice as I’m off to Brussels via Eurostar on Monday for a couple of meetings but have a 2 day gap between them so I intend to visit Albert and La Boisselle for a day to visit the graves of family members. I’m totally reliant on trains as I’m not taking the car. From what I gather I would have to catch a train from Brussels to Lille and then to Albert is this correct? Also has anyone got any idea on how regular the trains are to Albert and how much it would roughly cost to get from Brussels to Albert? Thanks in advance
Jon Haslock Posted 29 October , 2008 Share Posted 29 October , 2008 What about hiring a car in Brussels?
angelab Posted 29 October , 2008 Share Posted 29 October , 2008 Or would there be a TGV from Brussels to TGV Haute Picardie station (between Peronne and Albert) and then car hire?
old-ted Posted 30 October , 2008 Share Posted 30 October , 2008 If you go to Raileurope web site you can check out times and prices. I had a look and it will cost about 60 to 70 quid. You will need to call them as your travel is too soon for them to post your tickets. However you can book at the station when you are in Brussels. Chris_Baker Posted 30 October , 2008 Share Posted 30 October , 2008 Albert connects to the main station at Arras. Frequent, excellent and cheap trains.
