nicko576 Posted 27 October , 2008 Share Posted 27 October , 2008 Would anyone have a list of the Artillery Brigades that were involved in the build up to the Battle of Messines Ridge on the 7th June 1917. The reason i ask is, i am researching a soldier who died on the 7th June 1917, i know he died of gas poisoning which he recieved a few days previous. He was in the 149th bde, RFA, part of 30 Division. I suspect they were attatched to another division for the battle, however i cannot confirm. As he is buried at Lijssenthoek i know that he was roughly in the area. If anyone could help i would be most grateful. I have looked for the brigades war diary at the National Archives, whether it is my Computer illiteracy or they have not got them i dont know. many thanks Nick Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
