brimacombe Posted 17 October , 2008 Share Posted 17 October , 2008 Currently compiling the biographies of the 36 men from Holsworthy in North Devon who fell in WWI. Am also trying to compile photographs of each grave or commemorative plaque, to accompany the biographies (and compliment the photographs of the men I have already amassed). There are some great sites online now where thousands of war graves have been photographed and are available. However, there are still many thousands yet to be photographed.... Can anyone help me with either some good quality (general view) photographs of Bagneux Cemetery or (even better!) is anyone likely to be visiting the cemetery in the near future who might be able to take a picture for me? The man in question is listed below. Name: JEFFERY, STANLEY GEORGE Initials: S G Nationality: United Kingdom Rank: Private Regiment/Service: Royal Army Medical Corps Unit Text: 46th Casualty Clearing Station Age: 21 Date of Death: 30/05/1918 Service No: 463006 Additional information: Son of Samuel and Mary Jeffery, of 24, Chapel St., Holsworthy, Devon. Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead Grave/Memorial Reference: III. A. 8. I know its a big ask, but I live in hope.... There are a number of other grave sites I am looking for help on too, and I will post them over the nexr few days..
