Jim Clay Posted 15 October , 2008 Share Posted 15 October , 2008 An interesting thread here has ground to a halt. Pals from Oz and UK have seemingly exhausted all obvious research avenues. Would some Canadian Pals now like to take a look and see if Canadian archives can shed some more light? Jim
dorisj7 Posted 16 October , 2008 Share Posted 16 October , 2008 Jim: After much searching, I have only found this with Veterans Affairs Canada. Will keep looking. Some extraordinary families Mrs. Wood watched as eleven of her twelve sons left to serve in the First World War. Only two sons came back without any injuries. Known as Winnipeg's War Mother, Mrs. Wood received King George V's Silver Jubilee Medal (1935). Doris

Jim Clay Posted 17 October , 2008 Author Share Posted 17 October , 2008 As Grant says (and this was my intention ), it would be helpful for any responses to this post to be posted on the original thread (link in post #1). Thanks for your input, Doris and Marika. Jim
