Pte Robert Warburton SHAW

366411 Royal Engineers

Died 29.05.20 Age 37

Buried: Leamington (Whitnash Road) Cemetery, Warwicks, UK

Hello Terry. Thanks for flagging this. Robert Warburton Shaw was my great uncle. I approached the CWGC in May to request recognition for his sacrifice. This they have agreed to do. He was actually in the London Irish Rifles when he received the injuries (gassing) at Bourlon Wood in November 1917 that led to his death. He was transferred to the RE and offered a commission but never recovered sufficiently to take it up.
