Does any one have access to "The Second Twentieth" by Capt W.R.Elliott M.C. [1920]. I would be most grateful if some one could look up the death of my Grt Uncle E.C.Groves 9/12/1917 at Jerusalem. At the time the family were told 'he just went over the top and did himself in'.

in the absence of someoe looking up in the battalion history, here is an extract from 'The Territorial Divisions' by J Stirling. SDGW records Edward havng being KiA on that date.

Copies of the book can be found second hand (£45 and upwards) and it has recently been reprinted by Naval & Military Press - if you wanted to obtain your own!
