CroppyBoy1798 Posted 2 October , 2008 Share Posted 2 October , 2008 I have a pair of WW1 binoculars, luckily I have been able to find out quite a bit of info about there original owner, thanks in no part to the fact that he inscribed his name on the case , see here: http://www-srv-3.boards.ie/vbulletin/showt....php?p=57101265 Anyway, what I was curious about was the actual maker of the bino's themselves. They are completely devoid of any markings apart from this well worn makers mark under the sun shield. It appears to be a globe with contour lines on it and perhaps some text over the globe. I cant make it out and was wondering if any of you guys who may be knowledgable with optics, or who may have, or had bino's with a similar mark may give me more information. Many thanks
