Off topic but may be of interest

Corporal Chris

Recommended Posts

My apologies for being off-topic. In researching WW1 casualties I have found a chap in the village who was with the 4th.Suffolks and was captured in Singapore. He has given me a complete schedule, which he produced but has not been published, of all 4th.Suffolks who went to war and whether they came back, when they were KIA etc. A number of members have helped me with info. on the various Suffolk Battalions during WW1 and I wondered if their interest in the Suffolks meant this would be of value.

Regards,

Chris.

I'd say yes, too. I'm from Cambridge originally, and a lot of the old boys of my father's generation spent some time as a guest of the Emperor, so I always have an interest.

Hello Chris,

Yes, it would certainly interest me.

At least two of the Bergholt guys were in the 4th Suffolks as they died out there, but I strongly suspect that others who came home were in that Battalion too.

Kind Regards

Mark

No mention of a Bullen but if you would like to see the lists PM your e-mail and I will get them off to you. After my experiences with the 'photos I will have to do them in stages.
