deano Posted 31 August , 2008 Share Posted 31 August , 2008 From Tinsley Cemy here in Sheffield. He was discharged in 1916 suffering Delusional Insanity, which might have something to do with being shot in the face and eye! His papers are on ancestry, i also have his MIC. Should i go further and get his death cert? Dean.
Terry Denham Posted 31 August , 2008 Share Posted 31 August , 2008 Might be worth it. You can't tell until you see what's written on it! He did die a long while after discharge. If his DC shows some connection, there may be a case. I have seen insanity cases submitted by various people in the past rejected for lack of proof. chrisharley9 Posted 1 September , 2008 Share Posted 1 September , 2008 Dean the Macbean above is not the one in the Pensions records as the age & dates of death do not match up - The pension docs show that he died 1st April 1918 with no mention of a wife or children Chris
