Pte Robert HEMMINGS 20241 5 Bn, Leicestershire Regiment Died 11.05.15 Age 51 Commemoration: Brookwood (United Kingdom 1914-1918) Memorial, Surrey, UK NOT FORGOTTEN This is another ‘In From The Cold’ Project case. Pte Hemmings committed suicide by shooting in the head on the South Eastern and Chatham Railway at Rotherhithe, London. He was from Leicester. (Volunteer: Kevin O’Neill). I wonder if he committed suicide because he was going to war or because the army found out his real age and wouldn't let him go to war.
