CWGC added the following 'new' WW1 casualties to its Debt of Honour database today – Tuesday 26th August.

L/Sjt Andrew COLEMAN

6319 2 Bn, Royal Munster Fusiliers

Died 02.10.15 Age 21

Buried: Cork (St Joseph’s) Cemetery, Co Cork, Ireland

Gnr Walter UNDERWOOD

197624 Royal Garrison Artillery

Died 11.01.19 Age 35

Commemoration: Hollybrook Memorial, Hants, UK

NOT FORGOTTEN

L/Sjt Coleman was put forward by GWF on 01.12.07 on behalf of member, Sean Healey.

Coleman died of wounds at sea whilst crossing the Channel to Dover.

Gnr Underwood was put forward by GWF on 14.11.07 on behalf of member, Steve Mattock.

Underwood died aboard HMT Magdalina

The fact that both the above died at sea is pure coincidence.
