I was there! Saw a poster at Theipval on Thursday afternoon and made a note that if we were in the area we would have a look. This was my first "visit" to look specifically at battlefields and war graves (my husband's Great Uncle, died in WW2, is buried outside Amiens). I found it absolutely fascinating. Unfortunately the photo I have of the service is too large to upload and I'm too dim to know how to reduce it.

A very moving ceremony. Glad we attended.

Hugh was my grandmothers brother and it was only last Friday i decided to go to Courcelles-le -comte.Itwas my first "visit" anywhere abroad but after being thereit will not be my last to the area.

When you think of the effort that is made by the S.R.A. and the local people to preserve the namesand deeds of the fallen soldiers,it makes one wonder why in this country even the silence on Remembrance Day is not now observed.
