'Basrah Times'

Hi,

Does anyone have any information on archives containing the Basrah Times? Some libraries hold the later Times of Mesopotamia, but the Basrah Times (published in Basrah from 1914) seems harder to find.

Have you tried the National Newspaper Library at Colindale, and the IWM?

Yes thanks, they have a couple of years of the Times of Mesopotamia, but nothing else.

Hi Nadia,

We at the National Army Museum hold just one copy (29 Mar 1916) of the Basrah Times (although more may come out of the woodwork later!).

Is this of any use? They are not as common as the Balkan News from the Salonika Campaign. The IWM might have more.....

I've just found 55 copies of the Balkan News, later half of 1918 some duplicates. They are not really my thing and to be quite honest, I wondered are they very collectable and worth anything?
