Remembered Today:

A. Cecil Hampshire - Naval Historian

Jonathan Saunders

Recommended Posts

Last heard of in 1963 when he published some short stories. Previously he had published "They Called It Accident" about the Bulwark, Natal and Vanguard battleship losses, putting a very good case for sabotage - albeit the wrong conclusion.

Does anyone know whether he is still alive or anything of his career after 1963?

Many thanks.

I just wanted to "refresh" this request in case those with access Monday to Friday would have missed this over the weekend.

I know its a long shot but any info on what happened to A. Cecil Hampshire would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Jon

Many thanks - excuse my ignorence and the stupid question but these are likely to be new publications and not reprints, right? (I cant think they would be reprints but just trying to confirm that he was alive in 1983).
