illustrator Posted 25 July , 2008 Share Posted 25 July , 2008 Henry Edward Clements gunner 31373, joined London, 150th battery Royal Field Artillery in 1903 aged 18. Sent to France in 1914. Injured out, due to being gassed, I think in 1916 to the Engineers as a sapper in rail yards. I have his service record but it is badly damaged. any information? Does anyone know weather the battery was in india before WW1? As I can just make out, fit for service in India, but its not clear. Illustrator. battiscombe Posted 26 July , 2008 Share Posted 26 July , 2008 150th Bty was in Exeter in 1909, Brighton in 1910 and 1912 in 50th brigade, .. I dont have an earlier Army List to hand .. and in the 1913? reorganisation of batteries and Brigades it and 50th Brigade disappeared. So by 1914 he would have been serving with another unit anyway, but was most likely to be a mobilised reservist by then.. as he probably enlisted on a 3 + 9 (reserve) enlistment.. does the record show that much?
