Stewart1966 Posted 19 July , 2008 Share Posted 19 July , 2008 Does anyone know the whereabouts of 1 Royal Irish Rifles on 4th October 1918 and thereafter? I believe that this was the last date that they were actually in the front line. Regards Stewart

Best regards, Bart Hi It's possible that someone on the forum will have a map of the operation to capture Gulleghem mentioned in the diary, but your chances are slim. During the final advance most operations maps were 'banda' or 'roneo' copies quickly turned out on foolscap (A4) paper. Just a few were issued and once the next step forward was made they will probably have been discarded by platoon and company commanders as out of date. Still, I hope your luck's in Regards Martin
