Hi gang!

....am wondering if anyone can help with the above. I'm trying to find a company who manufacture stable belts in the UK, or even who makes the stable belt webbing! Reason i ask, is that i've been asked by a living history group in the US if i can make some reproduction stable belts/money belts for their period 1stww impression - can anyone help please?

I've seen a few mercian regiment stable belts (with buckle) which are the correct colour, but don't fancy taking them apart, then getting more stable belts with the leather fastenings on, taking them apart, and joing the bits n bobs together!!

Any help as always is greatly appreciated!!

Hi Tim,

I have a few made by Toye, Kenning and Spencer who I think still exist somewhere in the Midlands. They made me some thin Suffolk Regiment ribbon a few years ago.

Give them a call.

Cheers,

Taff

Hobson & Sons is one of the oldest manufacturers of stable belts and they are still in existence. They make the vast majority of the British Army's stable belts:
