Tweseldown Racecourse which was opened in 1867 mainly for the use of military riders is slightly south of Fleet in North Hampshire.

It lies just a few hundred yards into Bourley Road, Church Crookham, towards Aldershot.

The site had been bought during the Crimean War in 1854 for military training usage.

In 1880 it became a National Hunt Race Course.

It was used on occassions for reviews of troops stationed in the Aldershot area. Queen Victoria reviewed troops here on a number of ocassions the last being in 1896.

From 1914-18 a temporary camp was built which was used as an RAMC training camp. One of the bends on the course is known as Camp Corner.

It was used for Equestrian Events for the Olympic Games of 1948

The Army rents out Tweseldown, and since January 1st 2002 the racecourse has been managed by British Eventing.
